Hell yes! The Guerreros and Hamada. Mighty Inoue needs only hang with them in small doses for this to come off well.

Man, Hamada is little even for this foursome. There are moments of hesitation or slight sloppiness in the opening five minutes, but as they run through maneuvers and counter-wrestling you get the sense these guys know exactly what they are doing. They wrestle this to make everyone look good. This is solid, though not next-level tight work. The Guerreros were my stars of the match, and they actually got a chance to play slower, big man role during Hamada runs, which was a cool switch. Inoue’s headscissors spree was fun, as was Hamada’s crazy arm drag spree, but it’s the Guerreros that kept this match in focus as they controlled the base of the match, then let the natives go off and have their fun. The match does pick up steam as it rolls on, and one finds themselves rooting for Inoue/Hamada as underdogs. Loved the finish, with the tease of a Guerrero dive that’s plucked away by a surprising Inoue German suplex and bridge for the pin. Good ten minute match. 2 ½ stars and 5.2/10

Gran Hamada was around in the early eighties? What do ya know. I’ll be so disappointed if Babyface isn’t actually the babyface.

I honestly had a lot of trouble telling which guy was which witout the opening announcements (they went straight to the match on this one). Hamada was agile as all hell, and pulls off a mix of New Japan juniors mat work and some Lucha flying, without using the top rope. Babyface is a heavier guy, but not fat, and he kept up just fine. Honestly, there were times in this match where it was the best on the set, and almost at a modern level of high spot action, but there were times that lagged, and it wasn’t a very long match. Hamada pulled off a great dive to the outside off the top rope, and babyface back dropped him and did a plancha too. Hamada also pulled out a great victory roll for the win, but the ref screwed up calling the finish. Babyface slapped him, making him my favorite babyface ever! 2 ¾ and 6/10.
