Muy Bien.

Something you were wrong about were the dates for Double Feature. It was actually March 14th & 15th, with Take No Prisoners set on the 16th.

In happier news, nice to see the whole site back up after some technical difficulties, so kudos to those involved.

Might wanna get the date right when you tell people to steal this... the loser leaves CZW was on 4/7/07. But, I will second John's love for this and recommend you go out of your way to see this match.

I won't lie. I would have enjoyed watching the Colony run around like the crazy human-ants that they are. Bad timing for a Chikara show when you're a dad. :)

Yeah, those two matches were great, though at times Rockett looked real green vs Garano, but they sucked them in with personality. I'll have a full report soon. And yes, the Quack/Donst thing was something I was waiting to write up so thanks for helping those reading real-time out. Glad you remembered (everything as always) the comments I made to you before. I see something in the Quack/Donst relations, though they break down the walls to much with Donst being "normal" often, and then being this demon man character without any explanation other then "he hit his head before". I'd like to see his conflicts and confusion, or the two face personality switch we discussed.

Quackenbush attacking Storm after the match sounded really strange to me, so I visited the ChikaraFans board (best source I could think of) and found this in the results:

"Quack [&] Storm got the win with the sudden help of Tim Donst who whispered something into Quack's ear. After the match, Quack attacked Storm, then looked at Donst and said 'You better be sure...'. How strange. Three points, by the way."

That is strange. Reminds me of John talking about the Quackenbush/Donst relationship, so this could be something related to that, or something entirely different.

Word is the "Lightening Storm" vs. SSB tag match and Rockett vs. Gargano were pretty good too.

Here is a little more detail, as well as what to expect for tonight's PPV taping, from ROHwrestling.com:

- The Age Of The Fall of Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black captured the ROH World Tag Team Titles last night in Hartford, CT. They will immediately put them on the line. Tonight's bout pitting Jacobs & Black vs. Bryan Danielson & Austin Aries will now be for the ROH World Tag Team Titles.

(Just as we expected. Very much looking forward to it all the same.)

- Go Shiozaki took exception to Nigel McGuinness' post match attack on Kevin Steen in Hartford. He stopped McGuinness from continuing the attack last night. This has only added fuel to the fire for tonight's World Title Match.

(Looks like Steen & Generico both had injury angles. From the sounds of the finish, I'm not high on it, but it does add that fuel to the Canadians' fire, putting them back on track of their original targets in the beginning of the year and propelling them for that [hopeful] tag title victory.)

- There are no injuries coming out of last night's show and everyone is 100% for the PPV taping tonight.

(Guess that answers Steve's question.)

- The unique Osirian Portal will get a try-out match on the preshow tonight.

(I can dig that!)

- Ernie Osiris will put the Top Of The Class Trophy on the line against Rhett Titus tonight.

- Roderick Strong and Erick Stevens both told ROH officials to expect an insane Fight Without Honor tonight as each is looking to brutalize the other to win their final one-on-one match in ROH.

Negative Balance was both the first Chikara show held in Philadelphia and the first Chikara show I ever attended (been to every one in Philly since). Quackenbush vs. Claudio was outstanding. I had seen both a little bit in my early indy excursions outside of ROH (the 2004 TPI for IWA-MS and the 2005 Tag World Gran Prix for Chikara), but seeing these two guys in person AND wrestling one another was something really special. One of my favorite matches of 2005.
