TNA is signing up ex-football players, and failed WWE wellness policy castoffs. So why not it down and see how this translates to the show this week

I’m here so it must be live-blogging time for Impact - Video recapping last week’s episode. That is a nice touch that they should do more often.

- We are live and we are blogging as TNA Insanity or Impact or whatever comes to us on Spike TV.

It’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for. We are 72 hours from Victory Road and TNA Impact is on and we are in the Impact Zone with the same 1,000 bozos that show up every two weeks.

Raw is live in Louisana which I’m sure leads to a debate between King and Jr about hot sauce and BBQ sauce

TNA is back and I’m back in live time blogging

This is the big show TNA has been promoting since the tapings two weeks ago. I’m sure they were expecting or hoping to do a big number (relatively) but with this week’s events that might not be happening. Let’s see how it plays out.

The plan for me last night was to sit down at 8 pm to watch Monday Night Raw and report on the site about the fake funeral service for the demise of the Mr. McMahon character. Those plans changed around 6 pm last night though. It was then that I got the call saying Chris [...]

Another edition of Raw as we have draftees debuting, draftees returning, and wrestlers being investigated. Just another night on Monday Night Raw

-Tonight is a double dose of special on Raw. First off, it is the 2007 draft. TNA hit a home run last night. They did the one thing I’ve been imploring for months now- stop with the crazy gimmick stuff and let the wrestlers just go out and do what they do best. I’m not crazy enough to take credit for the turnaround last night am I

Yes it is technically not the morning after but I’m here anyway. Paul’s internet access is non-exsistant right now so he is out this week and I am filling in. It would be cool if this was a mid 80’s type wrestling angle where a guy disappears and then a few weeks later shows up [...]

After hitting a home run last week with the show closing angle could TNA come back strong again this week. I’d say they hit the fence.
Monday, April 23, 2007
Yes by this point it is quite a few mornings after. However there is something that needs to be said about this past week’s show.

TNA last night presented their annual gimmick overkill pay-per-view “Lockdown.” After what was considered to be a let-down last month could TNA get itself back on track? More importantly could they get a crowd outside their comfort zone to be into the matches?

WWE presented what is traditionally its biggest show of the year from Detroit, Michigan and once again came out on top in the end. It was one of those shows that people are either going to like or hate but what was good far outweighed the bad.

Usually the go-home edition of Raw is the biggest one of the year. They hammer home the important points, and add some last minute juice to matches coming at the “Grandest stage of them all.” Last night’s Raw fell flat to me in a couple of those aspects though.
