Hey everybody.
Burnside and I will be running down the second half of 2009 in TNA very soon and you can help.
We’ve set up seven online polls with help from the good people at www.polldaddy.com.
We changed the polls over to Poll Daddy when MicroPoll started getting ridiculously slow, so if you tried to vote before and [...]
You spend a few hours off the web, not expecting terrible news like this. I was quite shocked to learn just a few minutes ago the passing of Edward Fatu, better known as Umaga.
He was only 36 when he died in a hospital earlier today. As one might expect, he had [...]
DGUSA crowned their first champion in Philadelphia and offered two Match of the Year contenders along the way. Brian Streleckis has all of the (admittedly late) details of this big show and PPV taping.
With the Nitro Diaries wrapping up this week (I’ve got MFP watching the top thirty with me and reshuffling the ballot), I wanted to take the time to tell you that my next Diaries series on the site will be another Death Valley Driver Message baord set, The New Japan ’80s. So coming soon will [...]
Brian Streleckis runs down one of the biggest cards in Philadelphia in a good while: a new Japanese venture, a new promotion, and a PPV taping all in one.
Brian is at The Arena and in his front-row seat, which is under the crane camera. He says that the sheet metal barricades have protective tape on the edges. The first taping starts at 8:00.
Brian Streleckis has had plenty of BBQ already, so he celebrates Memorial Day weekend with the second half of Chikara’s anniversary weekend in Philadelphia, capped off with one of the best Chikara matches of the year.
Taped 4/9/09
Original Air Date 5/2/09
Report by Brian Streleckis & Steve Kriske
Tensions mount, stables explode, and a major partnership was announced at Chikara’s latest Philadelphia outing post-King of Trios.
After watching every show from the past year and going over the best of what they saw in audio format, Brian and Steve go into a little more detail on their personal picks in each category, thanks to the written word. Once again, reading is beneficial.
The King of Trios, Rey de Voladores, and Brian’s erratic sleep schedule have come to an end for the weekend. Plenty of excitement was had.
Taped 2/28/09, Original Air Date 3/28/09
Report by Steve Kriske & Brian Streleckis
The largest wrestling tournament of the year continued with the Quarter-Final round and two matches for Rey de Voladores, featuring “the greatest man that ever lived” and the magnificence of Johnny Saint and Kota Ibushi.
A very busy work day leads to really fun evening leads to an extremely late night. King of Trios is off and running, and Brian Streleckis runs down what occurred in the first round.
Brian Streleckis fills you in on what we’ll be seeing at Chikara’s third annual epic ode to the six-man tag next weekend. Who’s in it, how certain participants have fared in the past tournaments, and how they may fare against each other.
Brian Streleckis gives some brief thoughts on Chikara’s season premiere held in Philadelphia over the weekend. It’s now Tuesday, he’s been busy with other non-wrestling activities, and stayed up after this live show to watch the Royal Rumble immediately after getting home, but he still wants to talk about some hot and eventful action [...]
Brian Streleckis feels quite deflated about the state of certain areas in wrestling (absentee bookers, pathetic-looking PPVs, and some garbage fed still clinging to life), but then he remembers that he experienced some more Chikara goodness in Philadelphia (and has some approximate match times!)
Ring of Honor returns to Canada for its first Gabe-free weekend, and we’ve got your previews right here.

We put New Horizons in our cross-hairs in Part 2 and review ROH’s latest pay-per-view DVD offering. The Briscoes return (and get a meter in their honor), Necro takes a stand, and Danielson and Black tear the house (or at least the ring) down again.
Brian Streleckis has yet another live report from (now cold) South Philadelphia, the New Alhambra Arena, and the house that Quackenbush built, this time housing the stars of Big Japan and another monumental title change.
