I always tune in to “Some Old Matches That They’re Watchin’ or Somethin’.” One of my faves.

Dixie’s off-the shoulder blouses are my favorite thing about her.
Incidentally, nice Dreamer crying impression. I remember a message board conversation that took place a few years ago during the Invasion angle. Someone was trying to make sense of all the random guys who all of a sudden just showed up in the WWE ring, and they made an Invasion FAQ for viewers. One of the first questions, “Does that guy with the sweatpants and t-shirt usually wrestle?”

Anyone who wrestles in a t-shirt and sweatpants is (In Bryan Alvarez Speak): NO BUYS!!~ WHO COULD POSSIBLY CARE ABOUT THIS GUY?!!~
TOMMY DREAMER IS SUCH A GEEK!!!~
WHY DOESN”T TOMMY GET SOME ACTUAL WRESTLING GEAR?!!!~
VINNY YOU’RE A LARD ASS, PODER!!!!!~~~~~~~~~~
TILDES FOR EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So I normally don’t watch much Impact, usually just catch the reviews on here, but I watched most of this weeks and whoof that Hogan promo, so terribly hilarious. I wish there was more specualtion on who he was talking to. My guess-Bubba the Love Sponge.

I have been listening to your show for a few weeks now on podcast and really enjoy it. I really like Burnsides Tommy Dreamer and Ric Flair voiceovers and Finch does a great Abyss and Taz. Anyway, I am looking to crack the top 10 this month. I know this is my first E-mail to the website, but I ask you Burnside to please keep in mind the following: I am doing really well, you know I am doing well (because I just told you), and before I found your show I actually was forced to watch Impact each week, which thanks to your show I no longer need to do. Keep up the great work.

Welcome aboard, Greg! Glad you like the show. I can’t make any promises about the listener rankings, though. It’s not like it’s a completely senseless and arbitrary list I make up off the top of my head. There are a lot of factors involved. It’s scientific.
September 1st, 2010 at 4:51 am
The top 10 is a lot like the BCS rankings. It’s partially controlled by a central computer which we need due to the high number of factors calculated.
The program runs for a month straight before spitting out the new list, which usually occurs during a TNA pay per view. The computer gets incredibly hot in the final stages, so much so that our offices have been raided by police in the past.
They mistook us for a grow op. Johnny P smoothed everything over though, eventually.
Anyway, thanks for listening, Greg.
And remember, upnorthradio@gmail.com is always open for your Ask Burnside Question needs. Our intern checks it hourly.

First off I want to say thank you Finch & Burnside for recapping such a horrific show, it takes alot guts. I’ve watched TNA from week 2 of the wed night ppv era. With that said i’m so fuckin sick of TNA having no point to their empty dialogue and stupid storylines. The show just throws up out of my television every week, blah! My question is With everybody taking turns being a ‘cancer’ saying lines like “WE HAVE TO TURN THE CORNER” and “WE HAVE TO HELP THE YOUNG GUYS”, will there ever be a payoff? Lmao I know its a dumb question.
September 2nd, 2010 at 6:35 am
There are no dumb questions, KS, only dumb cancer.
Burnside, please answer this on UNR 109.

It is pretty frustrating KS, especially when you consider that at one point TNA had a better in ring product that WWE. They had a string of really good PPV’s in 2005. Its kinda sad how much things have regressed.

Devolution is the name of the game in TNA. Their ineptitude just reaches new heights every year. My prediction? TNA is Bound for Gloryholes when Hogan brings back SEX.Fuck it…
September 3rd, 2010 at 8:48 am
S.E.X.! Yes please. That’s what is needed. Sexy cancer will raise my bar.
