I made it home after an hour of very cautious driving in the snow. The show ended at 10:30 EST, and they never had an intermission, which I can't blame them for. If this weather keeps up and the roads are still shit (word is the tomorrow/today's high will be only 28 degrees), I won't be going to the Saturday show (which Security Chief Zach announced would start at 6:30 instead of 7:30 on the way out) and will simply eat the money I spent on my ticket (all five dollars). Speaking of tickets, they announced that people who can make it to the Saturday show will be given free tickets to the next set of tapings in March... something that was already being done at the end of the last tapings in January.

For every match in the TV Title Tournament, a red-headed vixen (may very well have been Rayna Von Tosh) stood in the ring displaying the title belt. The best tournament match was either Davey-Delirious, or King-Generico, which King won after a Royal Flush off the top rope. Both matches had a number of nearfalls. I'd say the Match of the Night would have to be Hero-Briscoe, actually. Very heated, back-and-forth, with all of the other principles at ringside: Mark, Claudio, Del Rey, and Hagadorn. Mark and Claudio got into a scuffle/chase toward the end of the match, and Mark acted super-pissed at Hero winning it.

In their earlier match together, where they reigned supreme over the Bravados, the Kings of Wrestling came out sporting Ribera Steak House jackets (a proud collectible of all gai jin), plus for each of their matches, their seconds would hold up these two plaques they received while in NOAH. Also, after the tag team squash and Jay-Hero, there were post-match promos saying that the Briscoes would defend their titles against the Kings at "The Big Bang" April 3rd in Charlotte.

Not much else in the way of in-ring promos outside of these and the Daivari segment (very light compared to the January and November tapings). Cornette gave Daivari quite the introduction, saying how he's wrestled all over the world for several major companies, has stirred up controversy, and has been banned off network television. He came out sporting his Arab attire, but then tore it off and threw it out of the ring, declaring himself not a sheik nor a terrorist, but a professional wrestler. He said he worked hard for his money and was able to walk away because he could. Then he started heeling it up by saying he genuinely earned his money unlike the well fare collectors and unemployed in the crowd, something people wouldn't expect from the color of his skin. I'd almost say this promo was shades of gray and verging on Up North/Down South, but I still liked it.

Whole lot of squashes tonight (like a farmer's market, Mike!). Stevens-Primeau was the most competitive one though.

Main event was good times, and if there is a title change on the 13th, they could easily cut out the entrances. They'd probably still have to given that the house mic was giving off some brutal static. After Strong scored the pin on Aries to win it, he had a brief stare-down with Tyler.

No Human Tornado. Sad face.
