The show started at 4 pm as it was announced earlier this week that it was moved up due to the Eagles playing Saturday night.

John Kermon and the Bravado Brothers each won dark matches.

There was an in-ring segment with Jim Cornette, Tyler Black, and Roderick Strong to hype Black’s title challenge and the tension between Black and Strong.

1) Rasche Brown won a squash match. Shane Hagadorn was scouting the match.

2) Cheech & Cloudy defeated Sonjay Dutt & Andy Ridge.

Austin Aries and Kenny King cut a promo which was interrupted by Tyler Black.

3) Kevin Steen defeated Delirious. Steen remains #2 in the Pick Six rankings.

4) Rhett Titus defeated El Generico.

5) Colt Cabana defeated Bobby Shields. After the match, Cabana was “warned” by Steve Corino.

Necro Butcher and Erick Stevens had a non-match brawl. Necro was slammed on some chairs and Eddie Kingston made the save.

Intermission

6) Austin Aries & Kenny King defeated Tyler Black & Roderick Strong. Black accidentally hit Strong with a superkick, allowing King to pin him. Very good match.

7) Dark City Fight Club defeated the American Wolves. DCFC won with their Project Mayhem finisher in another good match.

8 ) Steve Corino defeated Bobby Dempsey. Corino & Steen beat up Alex Payne after the match.

9) Rasche Brown defeated The Set in a handicap match.

10) The Briscoes defeated the Young Bucks to retain the ROH Tag Team Championships. The Bucks score Match of the Night honors again as Matt Jackson gets pinned following a Doomsday Device.

  1. Brian Streleckis Says:

    - Both promo segments were something new to me, as the episode they’ll be on will be the one right before the 8th Anniversary Show, with Cornette saying how Black will challenge for the title “this Saturday night.” Cornette talked to him about the match taped last night against Strong, with Black saying he didn’t know Aries was on the apron and things may have gone differently had Strong not bumped into him. Strong came out kind of pissed, saying that Black didn’t beat him in that match, but Aries did. Black conceded to Strong by saying he didn’t really beat him, but then closed by saying that after he wins the title, Strong won’t be able to beat him. In Aries & King’s segment, Aries lamented about the fat lip and stitches Black gave him with his superkick, as well as his wine stained shirt. King says it was no big deal. This closed with Aries implying that he fucked Black’s girlfriend, causing Black to come out pissed, but he was held back by refs and other wrestlers.

    - Sonjay Dutt explained his teaming with Andy Ridge as looking for someone with as much swagger as him and to bring to the top. After Ridge dropped the fall to Cheech & Cloudy’s Tidal Wave finisher (giving Cheech & Cloudy their first win, which they celebrated greatly), Dutt decided Ridge was no good, hit him with the mic, and put him in the camel clutch. I’d expect Sonjay’s revolving door of partners angle to continue.

    - Steen and Delirious had a good solid match I thought, but it was the weakest of the three main events here. Steen worked the arm a lot before ultimately winning with a crossface. Corino came out toward the end for motivation. After Steen won, Cabana came out to confront him, but he and Corino just brushed him off.

    - Titus vs. Generico will open one of the episodes. Titus won with a small package, and Generico was very sad about it.

    - After Cabana’s squash win, Corino warned him about who he stuck up for (perhaps a reference to Generico).

    - Aries & King vs. Black & Strong will be one of the main events on TV. No clue where it would be within the time frame (perhaps before the 8th Anniversary Show, perhaps not), but Aries came out wearing the title (entrances could just as easily be cut from the showKing implied through his expressions that Black is a choke artist. Very good match overall, with Black getting a very hot tag late in the match. The finish led to more tension between Black and Strong.

    - Wolves vs. DCFC was very good as well. The Wolves were the crowd favorites early, so they just ran with that. Very competitive with Edwards getting caught in the Fight Club’s finisher, putting the Wolves at 0-2 this weekend.

    - Corino vs. Dempsey was also competitive. Corino won with a rollup and a handful of tights. Dempsey went for revenge by attempting the death valley driver on him before Steen made the save. Sugarfoot then attempted to make the save for Dempsey, but Steen pretty much killed him. Threw him into the guardrail, beat him up until he bled, spread his blood over his own face, and then finished him off with two package piledrivers. All under Corino’s direction from the looks of it. Payne sold it like death and was carried out.

    - Both Nana and Hagadorn were out scouting Rasche Brown during his second squash match. They seemed to offer a deal to acquire Brown after the match, but Brown just walked right past them to the back.

    - Not much to say about Briscoes-Bucks IV. Just another damn good match, and the Jackson brothers were beloved. Briscoes gave their props to them, then left them in the ring alone to soak up the adoration.
