11. The Steiner Brothers vs. Buff Bagwell and Scott Norton (Nitro 7/14/97)
12. Randy Savage vs. La Parka (Nitro 7/7/97)

Notes: This disk was a great mix of styles, matches, and moments. Lots of fun. Even the lowest ranked match (Savage vs “La Parka” DDP) had a neat twists and was a cool angle. Same goes for the other fake luchadore match, where Eddie G. went under a mask as El Caliente to mess with Rey. Jr.
I was a bit surprised with myself ranking Luger/DDP vs The Outsiders so high, especially with the finish, but at the end of the day it was just a well worked extended match, and having the extra minutes extended my love for it. Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio were the MVPs of this disk, and maybe the MVPs of the openers/mid card of WCW in 1997. It’s no surprise where they rose to in the WWE post-WCW. Hell, this set even had teo good Curt Hennig matches and a Perfect-Plex on The Giant. Hogasn had a good match. Ultimo Dragon may have been the “weakest” performer on the disk. When that happens, you know you’re watching great wrestling. I have no idea how to put these into the ballot and not have ¾ of them in the top half.
