Match # 99: Jerry Lawler, Dusty Rhodes & Magnum T.A. vs. Ole Anderson, Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard (11/18/85)

The Four Horseman are in town, and Crockett has sent Dusty and his protégé to join Lawler. It’s a star studded gimmick match extravaganza. Bunk house match is jeans and t-shirts coming right up.
They start with (say it with me) a BRAWL. It’s as it should be considering, but the brawl to start or end a match is becoming the Memphis equivalent of the BACK BODY DROP in Mid South, or Walking Tall. Anyway, everyone pairs off and fake fist fights. Yeah.

As usual, one of these things is not like the other. The tough and talented bully wrestler Ole Anderson doesn’t seem like he’s selling like he should, or brawling nearly was energetically.

Tully starts using a weight belt as a weapon. He’s giving a hell of an effort out there. This thing is just a crazy brawl going all over the place. Just think original ECW in terms out what’s going on and the camera shots jumping around. Dusty gets the belt and pops the place huge. Dusty’s smart, so he gives the belt to Lawler to go crazy with. Crowd reacts. Tully actually goes for a pin in all this craziness. Dusty pins Ole Anderson with a big elbow. Six minutes of decent brawling. Nothing much to it. 2 ½ and 5/10.
