Jerry Lawler matches ruled this disk. Two with Mantell and one great angle/match with Ric Flair. I can see the two Mantell matches being top 15 at the end of this thing. I’ve got the Barbed Wire match as my working # 1 right now. The best scaffold match I’ve ever seen was only good enough to finish middle of the pack, but that in itself is a compliment. I can see it finishing between #50-75 when all is said and done, which was be a decent showing for a gimmick match I had dead last in the Mid South Diaries.

Dundee vs Eaton and the Lawler/Dundee teaming were the bigger disappointments on the disk. They were angle matches put on to move the storylines for the studio show, so I won’t bad mouth them too much. Lawler vs Mantell (Loser Leaves Town) was the only other slight disappointment, though calling it that is almost criminal. Go out of your way to see the angle and match, just don’t expect it to blow your mind when put up against the other stuff at the top of this list.
