I’ll hold off on posting an unofficial ballot until after the next disk, when we’ll be exactly half way done. As for this disk, it was all Flair and Rock N Roll Express matches. Interestingly enough, the one match that wasn’t ranked third. Bill Dundee has been in two matches on the entire set and I’ve enjoyed both. Also respect to the Dirty White Boys, who were a very good southern style heel tag team I’d never seen before.

The Flair series of matches produced 3 of the top 4 matches on the disk and nothing outside of top seven. When the top 10 of the entire project is reassessed all of the top 4 matches may be in the top ten, though more than likely it will be only two. I thought each Flair vs Taylor match got better, though at times I wondered if the second wasn’t better than the third. As for the Flair vs Von Erich matches I thought they were n Perhaps it had more to do with Von Erich’s mental state, though as I recall Flair wasn’t working as hard either. Night and day. The first was average for a Flair match, and the second was a classic.

The RNR Exp. Had five matches on the set (half the entire set) yet didn’t manage to crack the top 5. Perhaps the love of the formula is wearing thin, though finishes and opponents play a part. I thought the fifth and sixth ranked matches were great and the rest were just average, though they suffer from Flair being all over these disks. Their 5/11/85 match with the DWB should be something all young tag teams watch. On to disk 5.
