ROH “Vendetta II” LIVE Results

Posted on June 28, 2008 by Steve Kriske

ROH, Results, Robert Dolezil Reporting, Steve Kriske

Bob is on the scene in Chicago Ridge and will be sending in updated results throughout the night. Between matches, we invite you to stick around and listen to the
audio preview that Brian and I did while you’re waiting for updates.

1) Delirious & Rhett Titus defeated Alex “Sugarfoot” Payne & Silas Young in 7 minutes. The scheduled Four Corners Survival turned into a tag match with Delirious & Titus being managed by Daizee Haze. Delirious was acting “over the top in love with Haze.”

2) Erick Stevens defeated Jay Briscoe in 9 minutes. Stevens earns his second big win of the weekend with the Doctor Bomb. “Stiff match, but too short.”

3) Chris Hero defeated Pelle Primeau in a Lights out Match in 8 minutes.
Sara Del Rey interfered on Hero’s behalf. Decent match.

4) Tyler Black & Necro Butcher defeated Kevin Steen & El Generico in 12 minutes. “Barely passable.” Necro appeared to injure his knee and had a big bump right on his kneecap. He was able to walk out, but was limping heavily. AOTF used a chair to score the victory.

5) Claudio Castagnoli defeated Bryan Danielson in 24 minutes. As we predicted on BSWH, they did some comedy early, Danielson did the airplane spin, and Claudio did the giant swing. Both men were dizzy and tried to kip up, but couldn’t. The last 12 minutes were action-packed and very good. Claudio won with the alley-oop European Uppercut.

Intermission

6) Sara Del Rey defeated Daizee Haze and MsChif in 5 minutes.

Go Shiozaki was announced as the newest member of Sweet & Sour Inc.

7) Brent Albright & Roderick Strong defeated Adam Pearce & Go Shiozaki.
Albright earned a ref stoppage with knees to the head of Pearce.

8 ) Nigel McGuinness defeated Jerry Lynn in 20 minutes (non-title match). Pretty good match with a very good last few minutes.

9) Austin Aries defeated Jimmy Jacobs in 28 minutes. This was presumably a No DQ match (I didn’t ask, but the interference would indicate so). Bob says it was a fantastic match that saved an otherwise lackluster show. Tyler Black and Necro Butcher attempted to interfere, but were stopped by the Briscoes. Mark had been at ringside for Jay’s match, but didn’t do anything especially crazy either time out. Later, MsChif interfered to help Jacobs by attacking Aries while he had the Last Chancery applied and kicking him in the gut and blowing mist in his eyes. Aries eventually came back and both guys went for their finishers and countered each other. Aries hit about seven corner dropkicks in a row, then hit the 450 splash for the win. Before the match, they agreed that the winner would pick the loser’s match for the next Chicago Ridge show. Next time out, it will be Jimmy Jacobs vs. Necro Butcher in a No DQ match!
