Edge out 4 months

In some wrestling news that doesn’t involve death, Edge is hurt. Mike Johnson is reporting he’ll require surgery on his torn pec and be out 4 months. I lost the link (annoying site) but it’s on PWInsider.com.

Yes, it’s been reported on all notable sites (Observer, Torch, F4Wonline.com), that Edge suffered a torn pectoral muscle at last week’s Smackdown, during (of all things) that final segment of the show involving Kane and the Mardi Gras people. He relinquishes the World Heavyweight Title in the beginning of this Friday’s show, and then a 20-Man Battle Royal is held to decide a new champion. I won’t spoil anything else here, but both the new champion and new Smackdown Title Match for Sunday’s Great American Bash will be revealed by show’s end.
