I’m not sure if this is for members only, but I would recommend anyone who has access to the Pro Wrestling Torch or Figure Four Online check out there daily audio updates, as speaking through the news for a tragedy like this is alot quicker then reading everything coming out. Both publications are earning their money today. MAJOR rant on WWE press release inside here guys! On with the evening update

I got more on one of the text messages courtesy of the PWTorch.

WWE sent out a press release that’s completely oversensitive to their own failings as human beings. you can read it here.

My take on it is that FOX NEWS (And I would call that channel a tabloid more then a true hard news outlet) has sensationalized this story in the sense of knowing there’s alot of smoke and WANTING the fire. But this story comes down to the media - those that are qualified and really willing to look objectively at wrestling as an industry - finding the correct information and reporting the true problems the WWE presents for this industry.

The fact is that WWE creates an environment of don’t ask, don’t tell when it comes to drug, testing only certain people and disciplining others selectively. If the media figures out that wrestlers on the indy scene or in the WWE believe that they must take drugs to get bigger or not talk about pain they have and pop pills, this is the story the industry has sadly feared, yet needed, for quite some time. If none of this comes out, then stories like this will continue. Sure, a man killed his family and it may not necessarily been because of “roid rage” specifically. But if you think I don’t have a point, then your creating excuses as to why so many people in the wrestling industry die every year before 50 years old. Do you really need your wrestlers to be so big?
