Changes to the Candido Cup this weekend

Plagued by the problems just about any other indy faces, IWA Mid-South have made some changes to this weekend’s Candido Cup Tag Team Title Tournament this weekend in Midlothian, IL. These were announced on their message board (their words in quotes):
SAT vs. All Money Is Legal will not happen “due to us not being able to reach financial terms with both teams.” In it’s place is a match that looks to be a lot more appealing to IWA-MS fans: The Pretty Unreals of Michael Elgin and Ash vs. The Naptown Dragons IWA Midsouth Deathmatch Champion Drake Younger & CZW Junior Heavyweight Champion Vortekz.
Scott Lost is out with an injury, so Arrogance is out of the tournament. Taking their place against Low Ki & Homicide will be the team of Matt Sydal & Josh Abercrombie.
Finally: “As many of you already know, Necro double booked himself. He said he forgot about the FIP booking when he took the booking for us due to the fact that he was on Demoral from getting his lip stitched at IWA’s Texas show. Now facing Chuck Taylor night two, if he makes it past his night one challenger, will be Tank. His night one opponent will be, in a rematch in their outstanding match that they had at Phenomenal Invasion 2, PWU Champion: Devon Moore.”
Additional matches still set to happen are:
- Davey Richards & BJ Whitmer vs. Sabian & Joker
- The Basham Brothers vs. Dysfunction & Silas Young
- El Generico & Super Dragon vs. Cheech & Cloudy
- Axl Rotten (filling in for the injured Ian, as I predicted) & Mickie Knuckles vs. Tracy Smothers & Ricky Morton
- The Iron Saints vs. The Havana Pitbulls
- The Northstar Express vs. 2.0
- And some unannounced matches for Night 2 between non-advancing wrestlers from Night 1.
Also, there will be a Q&A Saturday at the venue at 2:30. $5 tickets. As always, check their web site for any additional info.
