1) Delirious defeats Mike Quackenbush, Gran Akuma, Jigsaw, Hallowicked, and Pelle Primeau in a 6 Man Mayhem in 10:34. Mike Quackenbush seemed genuinely surprised by the large Quack chants he was getting at the beginning of the match. At the start of the match Delirious started a Colt Cabana chant, as it was Colts last ROH appearance. The entire match featured very fast paced lucha style action. The highlight of the match came when Gran Akuma was standing outside of the ring and Hallowicked landed on the apron and ended up on top of Akumas shoulders. So now Akuma is standing on the floor and Hallowicked is sitting on his shoulders as if he were getting ready to take a Doomsday Device. While they are outside the ring, Mike Quackenbush bounces off the ropes and hits a suicide dive on Hallowicked, who is on top of Akumas shoulders and they both go flying into the crowd. Just an awesome spot. The finish of the match would come a few minutes later win Delirious hit a Chemical Imbalance 2 on Gran Akuma for the pinfall. This match was very good and consistently exciting for the entire 10:34.
2) Erick Stevens and Christopher Daniels, with Allison Danger wrestled to a 15 draw.At the start of the match there were dueling chants of Fallen Angel and Lets Go Stevens. Stevens seemed fairly surprised and very satisfied at how loud his chants were. They started out forearming each other. About 7 minutes in they were wrestling on the outside and Daniels set a chair up on the outside and then threw one in the ring to distract the referee. While the ref was busy, Daniels hit a front suplex on Stevens onto the set up chair. Around the 10 minute mark Stevens hit a nice overhead belly to belly on Daniels and quickly followed it up with a release german suplex that ended up with Daniels landing on his stomach. The 15 minute time limit would soon expire as it appeared Stevens was trying to get Daniels up for a powerbomb. After the match both Stevens, Allison Danger, and the crowd wanted 5 more minutes. Daniels said if you guys want it, then NO.
After the match Daniels grabbed a mic and said how about 3.5 years ago he was forced into exile from Ring of Honor. He said looking back he wished he never came back. Ever since he came back all he did was wrestle in filler matches like 4 Corner Survivals and 6 Man Mayhems. Daniels says he has been taken for granted by the ROH fans. He questioned when the last time he got a title shot was. He says the fans never got behind himself & Matt Sydals World Tag Team Title reign. He asked why this was, and asked if it was because of TNA. He says TNA pays his bills and that when his kid is sick and goes to the doctor it is because of TNA that his kid gets medicine not because someone on a message board typed that he had a four star match with Austin Aries. Daniels said look at my bank statement compared to Bryan Danielsons, I make six figures in TNA. He then went on to say that TNA pulled Joe from ROH to protect Joe from the ROH fans. He says Im not going to allow you fans to use me up like you guys did with Joe, I quit. Allison Danger tried to stop him, but he just punched her and left. Very intense promo from Daniels.
3) Brent Albright defeats Jimmy Rave, Homicide, and BJ Whitmer in a 4 Corner Survival in 10:15. This match was shorter than I thought it would be and not as good as I was hoping for which probably correlates with the amount of time it was given. The match was decent for what it was though. Jimmy Rave left the match about 6 minutes in when he took a jawbreaker off the second turnbuckle from Homicide. The finish came when Albright hit a half nelson suplex on Whitmer where he landed right on his head.
4) Austin Aries defeats Rocky Romero in 12:29. At the start of this match there were dueling chants of Austin Aries and Lets Go Rocky This match was very solid and saw Romero land lots of his stiff kicks. When they were fighting outside the ring, Romero asked Aries: So you wanna mess with the Corps huh? playing into the gang wars storyline between the No Remorse Corps and the Austin Aries led Resilience. Later in the match Romero hit a beautiful flipping armdrag off the top rope and continued to lock in armbar, mid-move Romero switched to an ankle lock but Aries got to the ropes. The finish of this came when Aries hit a very stiff kick to Romeros face, hit the Brainbuster, and the 450 splash for the win. Good solid match.
5) ROH World Champion Takeshi Morishima defeats Shingo in 15:24.This was a very exciting match and featured lots of back and forth action. At the start of the match there were dueling chants of Morishima and Lets Go Shingo. There was a lots of brawling on the floor including lots of Irish Whips into the guardrails and Morishima hitting moves where he would sit Shingo in a chair (Ole style) and run him into with his backside/lowerback. The rest of this match had both guys hit big power moves including Shingo lifting Morishima up a couple times for a Vertical Suplex. Both men hit big lariats on each other. There were several very close nearfalls. The finish came when Morishima hit a Back Drop Driver for the pin. Great match.
6) Tank Toland defeated Alex Sugarfoot Paynein 2:40 with a stalling body slam. Not much to say about this one.
7) Roderick Strong defeated Jack Evans in 15:12. Roderick dominated most of the match. Evans did hit some of his usual kicks in the early minutes of this match along with a couple of dives off the top rope. Strong continued to dominate and at the 9:00 mark, Roderick hit a big German Suplex on Evans where it looked like he landed very high on his
shoulders and his head. Evans got the advantage at 13:00 and hit a double knee strike to face off the top rope while Roderick was in the tree of woe. Roderick pinned Evans with what Dr. Keith Lipinski is calling the CX 02 which he describes as a crucifix into a cutter. This was a solid match, but not nearly as good as the match these two had at All Star Extravaganza III in Detroit on March 30th.
ROH World Tag Team Champions Jay & Mark Briscoe defeated The Motor City Machine Guns of Alex Shelly & Chris Sabin in 34:20. This was an outstanding and excellent tag match, probably the best tag team match I have ever seen live. Shelley & Sabin had very cool matching ring gear that was black with silver crossbones and other bad ass looking images. This match contained very large amounts of continuous double team moves from both teams, but especially Shelley & Sabin. The MCMG were often hitting 5 or 6 consecutive double team moves in a row. This match was just nonstop excellence with many great nearfalls where the crowd surely thought the match was going to end. At the 30:00 mark in the middle of breathtaking action, both Briscoes were standing on the outside of the ring on the floor and Shelley and Sabin hit simultaneous suicide dives on to them and all 4 men layed on the floor while the crowd was going insane. Many more nearfalls followed including Mark Briscoe hitting a shooting star press. The pinfall finally came when Alex Shelley was pinned after a Cut-throat Driver along with a simultaneous top rope leg drop. Like I stated earlier this was one of the best tag matches I have ever seen and is arguably as good as the Briscoes vs. Austin Aries & Roderick Strong from the Unified show in the UK last year. Both teams got a standing ovation and Shelley & Sabin put the belts around the waists of the Briscoes and all 4 men stood in the ring together with their hands in the air to a another tremendous standing ovation.
9) Colt Cabana defeated Adam Pearce in 13:20. Cabana was showered with hundreds of streamers as he entered the ring. This was a good comedy match. Shane Hagadorn was with Pearce but was ejected after Colt Cabana hit the ring apron with a chair and hilariously sold it for about two minutes like Hagadorn had hit him. More comedy goodness ensued and Cabana made Pearce tap with an inverted Boston Crab. Post match promo from Colt saying how he and Pearce were buddies and go way back. Cabana said he wanted to end things with Pearce on a good note, but Pearce spit in his face and left. The locker room emptied to say goodbye to Colt including Colts parents. Colt gave a speech saying how he loved ROH and the ROH fans and thanked Cary Silken for being the savior of ROH. Colt said his childhood dream was to be a pro wrestling superstar and he was proud to have accomplished that in ROH. Great moment with lots of emotion.
