Chris Daniels appears to be leaving ROH, as tonight was his unannounced departure. Danielson’s announced return. Robert Dolezil provides us with quick results
Read about it in Mike Johnson’s report, which gives details.
Also, Brian Danielson’s return was announced for 6/23 in Chicago. He may be back before then, but they got the crowd into a frenzy announcing a rematch of last year’s classic, as Brian Danielson takes on KENTA!!!
We’ll have a full live report up in the next 24 hours from Robert Dolezil, who’s at the show live. Here are quick results, and a HUGE thanks to Steve Kriske for the relay on these:
1) Six-Man Mayhem: Delirious beats Gran Akuma in 10:34 with a “package piledriver”. I assume this means Chemical Imbalance #2. Match also featured Mike Quackenbush, Hallowicked, Jigsaw, and Pelle Primeau, and was “really fucking good”
2) Erick Stevens and Christopher Daniels wrestle to a “real good” 15-minute draw
After the match, Daniels cuts a pro-TNA promo and shoots on the ROH fans (including saying that TNA pulled Joe to protect him from them), then quits ROH and hits Allison Danger!
Jimmy Rave has been added to the announced 3-way match
3) Four Corners Survival: Brent Albright defeats BJ Whitmer in 10:15 with a half nelson suplex on is head. “Decent match” also included Jimmy Rave and Homicide. ROH photographer Mary-Kate thinks Rave suffered a broken orbital bone.
4) Austin Aries defeats Rocky Romero in 12:50 with the 450 splash. “Real good”
5) ROH World Championships: Takeshi Morishima defeats Shingo to retain the title in 15:24 with a backdrop driver. “Fucking great, brutal back and forth action”
6) Roderick Strong defeats Jack Evans in 15:12 with a new move. “Good, but not as good as Detroit.” I assume this was an FIP title match, but I don’t remember for sure, and he didn’t mention it.
7) ROH World Tag Team Championships: Jay & Mark Briscoe defeat Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin to retain the titles in 34:20 with a cut-throat driver/leg drop combo. “Arguably as good as Unified.”
Colt Cabana defeats Adam Pearce in 13:20. “Total silliness.” Colt’s parents and the wrestlers joined him in the ring for speeches.
Good night!
