I was in the process of researching a story on WWE house show and TV ratings and the translation (or lack there of) to PPV buys domestically. Unfortunately, with a timely serious hard news issue regarding WWE wrestlers being exposed by SI this week, that article will have to wait a day or two. Today’s [...]

This article comes from Sports Illustrated. Before people start throwing around wild claims and accusations there are a few things to keep in mind.
1.) Most of the purchasing was done from mid 2004- mid 2005
2.) This was before the WWE enacted the Wellness Policy which if nothing else gives them [...]
It this edition we discuss a wrestling match that deserves more respect, and get you, the reader, more accustom to the site and personalities of our writers, as I give you some insight into what we’ll be doing here at pwchronicle.com. Don’t worry, with two more articles to go this week, I’ll find a way [...]
In today’s edition, we deal with UFC’s options for promotion after a deal with HBO fails, maximizing your free TV product, and Dana White’s bad habit.
I debut my vanity posting (as if they all aren’t) on my favorite Wrestlier of the last year, “American Dragon” Brian Danielson. Focusing mostly on his great ROH World Title run, I’ll go match by match with in depth analysis and commentary. What I like and don’t like, where this fits into the context of [...]

Thirteen hours after it has gone off the air I’m still trying to wrap my head around this show, and the promotion as a whole. How could the booking crew behind Destination X, a horribly below-average show, be behind such a great hour of television last night? Maybe they heard the complaints from consumers and [...]
The build to Wrestlemania continued last night and for the first time it seemed like they were lost on how to continue the Cena/Michaels storyline. In fact as a whole other than forwarding one huge storyline and planting seeds for another this was a nothing happening RAW.
There is a lesson to be learned by TNA from last night’s pay per view. Really it’s a lesson that guys like Jeff Jarrett and Dutch Mantel should already know. For all his faults as a booker Vince Russo has been around long enough in the business that he should know it also. You can [...]

5 months ago it looked like this pay per view might be in the middle of a TNA surge. They ran Bound for Glory in Detroit and put on a pretty good show. Then in November they relied on the intrgiue of seeing Kurt Angle vs Samoa Joe for the first time. That show was [...]
The debut of Steal This Match, where we pimp matches and then you steal them from someone online rather then pay us. Screw it. Cheat your taxes to, what do we care. This week, I just sat down and watched the 3.4.07 Budokan Hall Main Event, KENTA vs Morishima for the ROH World Title. Click [...]
Beware of this man. He’s armed with a title belt around his waste. Now, he has no title to walk around w/, no fans to blame, and what is there to do in Maine this week if you don’t have a title belt to wear to the local bars and impress your yokal cousins for [...]

I just watched one of the greatest Sports stories of the year last night. I was watching Rocky on my TV set, except the Rock was real. And sadly, when I woke up this morning, Mike Lupica wasn’t talking about it on ESPN’s Sports Reporters, and my local newspaper didn’t put [...]
Our regular column on the site focusing on the hottest indy promotion in North America, Ring of Honor, known to most as ROH.
Imagine your the biggest star in your profession. Not only that, within the confines of your homeland you are more famous for what you do than anyone in your industry in the world. You’re so popular at what you do that you work four times on Sundays! You rarely have a day off. You [...]
